Once my driver’s window would not go up and it just needed some trimming of some material that was blocking the window track. Anyone have any suggestions? New motor for all? Or could it be fuses? Any idea of expected costs. I had put off fixing the other windows but think I best attend to these soon. I almost thought I smelled a “burning smell”. ![]() Today when I got in the car and closed my door I looked down and thought I saw “smoke” coming from the window controls by the driver’s seat ! I had not yet started the car and the smoke evaporated quickly. I was able to get the window to work with the control at the rear passenger seat a few times, but now neither control will lower the window. And just last week, the left rear passenger stopped going down using the driver’s control button. Locate the plugs that connect to the hinged end of the driver's and. These wire harnesses run though the interior cabin floor, and connect to the under-dash fuse box. Months later the rear right passenger window stopped working - does not work with either control (by the driver or the back passenger control and control button feels “stuck” I am pretty sure). From a donor Honda Civic EX or Si (1996-2000) with power doors, locate the wire harnesses in the driver's and passenger's side foot wells.
